San Francisco-based Osmos has launched an AI-powered matchmaking platform designed for meaningful connections and deep 1:1 communication. This platform targets professionals in various sectors, including fintech, VC, SaaS, edtech, and martech among others.
What challenge does it tackle?
Reportedly, large networking platforms are transitioning towards creator and video content to boost user retention. Still, only 25% of LinkedIn users report that it has helped them develop new business partnerships. With the global social networking market valued at $81.42 billion and encompassing $4.9 billion users worldwide as its target, Osmos aims to enhance professional connections.
Unlike several other networking platforms that had pivoted away from their original purposes, Osmos connects people based on targeted requests and collects user feedback on each match, preventing shallow connections.
Who is behind Osmos?
Osmos was founded by Natalia Cebotari and Mike Fridman. Natalia is a serial entrepreneur and former Chief Strategy Officer at Yandex. On the other hand, Mike, the CTO, brings expertise in AI and machine learning from projects with Disney and Formula E.
AI matchmaking platform
Osmos’ AI technology analyses profiles, interests, and needs to generate recommendations. One-on-one chats are only created when both participants agree and are ready to commit to communication.
This ensures meaningful matches, connecting like-minded people without the noise of social selling or recruitment. Osmos provides a real-time space for genuine interactions, redefining them as a new luxury and fostering a collaborative helpful movement that encourages genuine idea sharing.
It operates on a subscription model that enables on-demand connections. Imagine sending a request to a GPT chat room like “Looking for a marketer with 5+ years experience in big pharma” and getting a perfect match ready for one-to-one dialogue. This is what Osmos’ platform does.
The matchmaking platform powered by AI will bring together founders, investors, senior executives, and engineers. In less than a year of testing, the company attracted over 3,000 C-level executives from companies like Google, CVS, Revolut, Apple, and Schneider Electric, and facilitated more than 20,000 cross-industry connections.
“Osmos addresses a personal challenge I faced. Despite having over 9,000 personal contacts, I often struggled to find the right people when needed. I firmly believe that a good social network is about helping each other, not just about talking, selling, or self-promoting. Targeting a $163.6B social networking market, we fight shallow connections and small talk that leave you feeling lonelier than ever by creating a network of people who truly care”, said Natalia Cebotari, CEO & co-founder of Osmos.
