Bending Spoons, an Italian mobile app developer, has raised $340 million in financing from global investors, including Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort Holdings, Creator Partners, and other leading names in technology, business, media, entertainment, and sport, as well as marquee Italian institutions, such as Banco BPM and Intesa Sanpaolo.
The company will use the funds to accelerate product development, help expand marketing efforts, and fund new acquisitions. After bootstrapping for a decade, this is Bending Spoons’ first external financing.

Powers content creators
Founded in 2013, Bending Spoon has built a suite of mobile-centric apps that power photo, video, motion graphics, and typography. For example, it has Splice (video editor), Remini (image editor built on AI technology), and much more.
According to the company’s claims, it has built over 50 technologies. In addition, the company aims to deliver pro-grade creative capabilities through apps that are incredibly intuitive and easy to use.

The company has surpassed $100 million in annual revenue.
